How TableAura Cashback Works

June 15, 2026

Cashback is the core of TableAura, so it's worth explaining exactly how it's calculated instead of leaving it vague.

The calculation, step by step

  1. Start with your subtotal after discounts. We take the food total on your order after any promotions applied by the restaurant, excluding tax and tip.
  2. Subtract any cashback you're redeeming. If you're paying part of the bill with previously earned cashback, that amount comes off first.
  3. Apply your cashback rate to what's left. The restaurant's cashback percentage — which may be higher during off-peak hours — is applied to the remaining subtotal, and that amount lands in your TableAura wallet.

Where it lands, and how long it lasts

Cashback shows up in your wallet as soon as your order is processed. It expires at the end of the third calendar month after you earn it — for example, cashback earned in January expires at the start of April. Earning more cashback, or completing a referral bonus, pushes that expiration date forward.

Where you can spend it

Unlike a loyalty punch card, TableAura cashback isn't tied to the restaurant where you earned it. It's redeemable at any partner restaurant in the network.
