Getting started
- TableAura is a dining rewards app that connects diners with independent restaurants through cashback. Pay your bill at the table or order pickup through the app and earn cashback automatically — no subscription, no prepaid credit to buy upfront.
- Download the TableAura app, create your profile, and start exploring restaurants and offers in your area.
- TableAura is launching in Austin, TX, with an initial pilot cohort of independent restaurants near UT Austin, targeting a mid-August 2026 launch. We don’t have confirmed plans for other cities yet.
How it works
- Yes — TableAura works both ways. Dining in, you pay your bill at the table by scanning your check number in the app. Ordering ahead, you place a pickup order directly in the app and pay when you order. Both earn cashback the same way.
- You can link credit cards and debit cards to your TableAura account.
- You can browse participating restaurants and their offers anytime for free. To earn cashback, you need to pay for your meal — at the table or for pickup — through the app.
- Just pay through the app when you’re ready to settle your bill or pick up your order — no need to announce it separately.
- Yes — the TableAura app includes tipping, so you can handle your entire payment, including tip, in one place.
Rewards & cashback
- We start with your order subtotal after any promotions or discounts, excluding tax, tip, and service charges. If you redeem previously earned cashback as payment on the order, that amount is subtracted next. Your cashback percentage is then applied to what remains. For example: a $100 meal with a 10% restaurant discount brings the subtotal to $90; applying $5 of previously earned cashback brings it to $85; your new cashback is calculated on that $85.
- No minimum for standard cashback — you can earn on any purchase amount. Some promotional offers with a boosted cashback rate may require a minimum order amount to qualify; that minimum is always shown on the offer before you order.
- Your cashback wallet isn’t tied to the restaurant where you earned it — it can be redeemed at any partner restaurant in the TableAura network.
- When paying through the app, you can apply all or part of your available cashback balance toward your order.
- Cashback expires at the end of the third calendar month after you earn it — for example, cashback earned in January expires at the start of April. Earning new cashback or completing a referral bonus pushes your expiration date forward; simply opening the app does not.
- Yes — the app sends a reminder when an offer or reward is close to expiring so you have a chance to use it.
- Yes — your current cashback balance and a history of what you’ve earned and redeemed are always visible in the app.
Personalization
- Yes. During signup or anytime in your profile settings, you can set favorite cuisines, dietary restrictions, and preferred occasions so the app can surface more relevant restaurants.
Security & privacy
- Payments are processed by third-party payment processors using industry-standard encryption. TableAura does not store your raw card details.
- Location is used to show you nearby participating restaurants on the map. You control location sharing in your device settings.

For restaurants
Pricing
- There is no subscription fee. TableAura takes a 4.5% platform fee on the gross transaction, charged only when a customer redeems a reward and dines in or picks up an order.
- Restaurants fund the cashback they offer. TableAura does not discount your menu on your behalf — you set the cashback percentage and only pay out (plus the 4.5% platform fee) when it is redeemed.
Features
- You configure cashback percentages by day and time — for example, higher cashback on a slow Tuesday 3–6pm shift — so the incentive is concentrated where you actually need more covers, rather than a blanket discount.
- Yes — offers support an optional minimum transaction amount, so a higher promotional cashback rate only applies once an order reaches the threshold you set.
- Yes. Diners can pay their bill at the table (by scanning the check number your POS generates) or place a pickup order directly in the app — both flow through the same integration, so you capture cashback-driven revenue from either channel.
- Yes — your dashboard breaks down revenue by day of week and flags your lowest-traffic periods, with recommendations for where a boosted offer would help most, plus conversion analytics for each offer you run.
- Yes. Every review is tied to an actual TableAura order, not a generic widget — you can see ratings and feedback from diners who paid through the app and reply directly.
Integration
- TableAura currently integrates directly with Square and Clover — connect your existing account and orders and payments sync automatically. If you use a different POS, let us know through the contact form and we will follow up as we expand support.
